What is CVV? The Card Verification Value (CVV) or Card Identification (CID) for a credit card is a three digit or four digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of a credit card immediately following the credit card account number. We use the Card Verification Value (CVV) as a check to verify that the person making this purchase actually has the credit card in their possession.
